My dress for my exam

This is my design for my A-level fashion exam. It's the last thing i have made before my creative a-levels are over and i'm off to camberwell for my art foundation.

My a-level art exam work

This is my A-Level art piece which was a development from my last work. Not very good quality image as it was quckly taken straight after the exam. I have this time inserted more colour. I completed this over 12 hours, 6 a day and I am very happy that it is finally over.

Butterfly papercutting

This is my work from my mock A-level art exam. The title I had to follow was 'exploration and discovery'
and this is what ive ended up with. This was just the mock piece so next time it's for real and I have to improve on this one. The butterflies are made from a mixture of paper cutting on maps or fineliner on either tracing paper or on tissue paper and then dunking in wax. The butterflies are supposed to appear as if they are traveling from one map to the other ie, migration of butterflies.

plan for my final

This is a drawing for my plan of my next art piece. It's of a plastic bag filled with water and is displayed clinically in a set of three. My actuall piece will be painted and filled with objects to add colour to the piece. The water distortes the objects and makes them in to a pattern.

My new piece of art. As you can see i went a little crazy on colour and pattern, may have to reighn that in a little on my next piece. It is of asian food packaging which is very rich in colour and pattern itself. I painted it with sections of pattern where things overlayed and sections of realistic painting. It was basically an experiment into what style of art i like. On my next piece i will be concentrating the use of colour down in to one element and using more of my skill for precise and accuratly depicted objects. Had a week to prepare this piece, well had 3 weeks but got destracted in the first 2.

Finished artist board

I finished my 10 artist copies. They are all portraits. It was allllot of stress to get it finished before i handed it in to the teacher at the end of the summer break. When I say summer 'break' i mean summer 'OMG I HAVE SO MUCH WORK TO FINISH! couple of days'.

Textile experimentation.

This is a print ive been experimenting with for my fashion a-level. I'm trying to get it neatly and delicatly onto a soft fabric. It's inspiration was romantacism and i drew it from a flower pressing i had done.

Summer holiday artwork

For my summer holiday homework i had to do 10 copies of painting, all being portraits. So far i have managed to do 6 but i have 4 days left so it looks like i'll be very busy! Finished the van gogh one today (the one with the blue, swigley background).

finished my room...nearly

My new shed/bedroom. Completely insulated, and decorated. I wanted it to be light and airey so it would be a calming place to be with the stresses of college work. I tried to customise furniture i had already had and got the chandelier for free just before it entered the dump to keep costs to a minimum. I have been collecting different pieces of furniture over the years. For instance the blue bowl was bought from alpujarras in the mountains of southern spain and the flower lights around my bed are from camden. Just have a few finishing touches and need to find a bronze guilded mirror cheap.

chest of draws

Re-decorated my chest of draws for my new room. Striped it of my mothers previouse decorating, found some left over paint in the shed and painted it, rumaged through variouse magazines and varnished. Now off to find some door knobs.
